Safeguarding Policy

Safeguarding Policy

BIEA are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults. All applicants to BIEA must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and Disclosure and Barring Service checks. BIEA requires all prospective and member schools to complete mandatory regular training in both Safer Recruitment and Child Protection. BIEA member schools and non-member schools can access the BIEA recommended services administering Disclosure and Barring Service checks.

In addition to DBS checks, BIEA strongly recommends that all teachers undergo a Prohibition Order check.

If you have any questions please contact us for further guidance.
